Choose me for the following:
I can hold my sessions in person, online, and over the telephone.
YOUNG PEOPLE COUNSELLING
Being a young people counsellor is about understanding the pressures that children and teenagers face today. School stress and friendship issues, and family conflict, low self-esteem or social media, can be overwhelming. When I work with young people, I adapt each session to suit their ages and personalities. Adaptability is important to me.
Some prefer talking but others find it better to express themselves through my creative activities or with my structured exercises.
My aim is to help them:
I offer a safe environment where my clients can speak freely without fear of judgement. As a young people counsellor in Church Crookham, I also work closely with parents when appropriate but always respect the young person’s confidentiality unless they are in harm’s way.
YOUNG ADULT COUNSELLING
Young adulthood can be uncertain. You may be navigating university, starting work, facing relationship challenges or questioning your direction in life. Young adult counselling offers space to explore who you are, what you want, and how you can move forward with life with more confidence in yourself. My clinic is neuro-affirming and trauma-informed, and I welcome neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ clients.
You can find my clinic handily located in Church Crookham.
I often support younger adults with anxiety counselling, depression counselling and trauma counselling. Anxiety can show up as constant worry, panic attacks or avoidance. Depression feels like a numbness, a low level of motivation or a concerning sense of hopelessness.
Trauma counselling can help if you have experienced bullying, abuse, loss or other distressing events that might still affect you.
In my sessions, I focus on understanding patterns and strengthening coping skills while building self-awareness. You will not need to have everything figured out before you come in for counselling.
Instead, we work it out together.
ADULT COUNSELLING
As an adult counsellor, I can support clients who are dealing with a wide range of challenges. These may include relationship breakdowns, workplace stress, parenting pressures, long-term anxiety or an issue related to unresolved trauma. You can book in for sessions at Sarah Yule Counselling knowing I will always be working to support you.
Addiction counselling is also an area I work with.
Addiction is often linked to deep emotional pain and it can involve alcohol, substances, gambling, social media use or other behaviours. Addiction counselling focuses on understanding triggers, developing healthier coping strategies, and building towards long-term change.
Anxiety counselling and depression counselling are common reasons to use me for support. You could be stuck in repetitive thoughts, have trouble sleeping or find daily tasks exhausting. Counselling gives you more time to examine what is happening beneath the surface.
Trauma counselling can help if your past experiences are continuing to affect your personal life. Trauma is not always about a single or major event. It also results from stress or difficult relationships.
My clinic in Church Crookham works gently and at your own pace.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM COUNSELLING
When you come to see me in Church Crookham, you can expect:
I use an integrative approach and draw from therapeutic models based on your requirements. There is not a one-size-fits-all method.
Your experiences are unique and my work reflects this.
You may be wondering whether you “need” counselling. If something is affecting your sleep, relationships, work or self-worth, this can be enough. You should not have to wait until things feel unmanageable.
As a counsellor working with younger people, young adults and adults in Church Crookham, my role is to walk alongside you while you gain clarity and confidence. Change does not happen overnight but, with consistent support, it can definitely become much more achievable.
