WHAT IS TRAUMA COUNSELLING?
Using supportive therapies which help all individuals to process the emotional, physical and psychological reactions to past events, my trauma counselling helps manage symptoms and triggers. It also establishes better control over the way that you are feeling.
I help you to normalise the abnormal so that Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can be supported and not judged. Over a series of sessions, the effects of PTSD can be reduced. This leaves you free to explore your feelings, and to understand that they are normal.
Trauma counselling tackles the reactions you have had to life events and, instead of simply surviving, you can begin to move forwards in a more confident manner without the associated feelings of guilt.

I offer concessions to trainee counsellors and university students.
I understand how important it is for my clients to have a safe space where their emotions and feelings are valued. If you feel unable to attend a face-to-face appointment at my practice in Church Crookham, I can still offer a trauma counselling service using online resources or the telephone. I welcome clients from all locations in Hampshire, Surrey and the surrounding areas.
