My name is Sarah, a qualified young people counsellor. I specialise in young people and young adult counselling for clients in the age range of 11 to 25. If you are a young person who is feeling anxious or low, or if young adults in your care are causing you concern, please remember that you are not alone. I understand that life presents many challenges, especially during the formative years.
You could be dealing with complex emotions, struggling to cope with the expectations put upon you either at home, school, college or university, or have difficulties with friendships or relationships. As a young people counsellor, I can offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where you can explore these issues.
I am located in Church Crookham and support young people, and young adults, from all locations in the Hampshire area. I also cover Surrey and the surrounding counties.
It can sometimes be difficult to find words to express how you feel so, if you feel comfortable, I may introduce various creative tools and interactions to help you with this. Working creatively can be particularly helpful for younger people and neurodiverse clients.
Talking to a counsellor can help you to overcome your difficulties, including those related to addiction, anxiety, depression or trauma. My support is non-judgemental and my practice can also offer a safe, neuro-affirming and trauma-informed space.
It is also inclusive and welcomes neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ clients.

A young people counsellor such as myself will be able to talk to you in a safe, confidential space, and you will always feel listened to.
Appointments at my practice in Church Crookham take place on a face-to-face basis, without unwelcome pressure, so that you can talk to me about what might be on your mind. I understand that what could be a minor problem to others can still be life-changing for my clients.
No matter how small the issue, or how tough life feels, young people and young adult counselling can provide you with welcome support.

I offer concessions to trainee counsellors and university students.
The formative teenage and young adult years can leave you feeling as if nobody understands the difficulties you face. While this is often a part of the transition into adulthood, you should never be left to deal with these feelings alone. As a young people counsellor, and young adult counsellor, I can help support you through these confusing and difficult times.
Building a trusting relationship is fundamental to counselling. With this in mind, I offer a free initial 15-minute online or telephone consultation where we can get to know each other and talk about what is troubling you. This will give you an opportunity to see if you feel we are a good fit.
We can meet in person at my practice in Church Crookham or, for those in the wider Hampshire and Surrey areas, or from further afield, it is possible to book an online or telephone appointment.
